HC Deb 26 February 1946 vol 419 c364W
Mr. Follick

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will now release Castle Donnington racing track so that Great Britain can, once again, have the possibility of racing successfully against foreign countries as, now' that Brook-lands has been disposed of, Castle Donnington is the only suitable racing track available in the country.

Mr. Lawson

The difficulty of releasing Donnington Park was explained in my reply of 13th November last to a Question by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Derby (Group-Captain Wilcock). Certain suggestions which have been made are, however, at present under consideration and as soon as a decision is reached I will write to my hon. Friend.
