HC Deb 21 February 1946 vol 419 c303W
Captain C. Smith

asked the Undersecretary of State for Air how many members of the R.A.F. now serving overseas have been serving abroad continuously for three years or more, with not more than 28 days in the United Kingdom during that period; and in which commands are they serving.

Mr. Strachey:

I am afraid that these figures could not be readily obtained. In general, however, only a few members of the Royal Air Force who have been serving overseas for three years or more will have had more than 28 days in the United Kingdom, unless they have completed one overseas tour and have gone overseas again after a period of duty in this country.
