HC Deb 21 February 1946 vol 419 cc280-1W
Mr. Chamberlain

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether members of the Czech forces in this country have a similar option to thataccorded to members of the Polish forces of returning to their country, or remaining in this country; whether, in the latter alternative, they are subject to similar conditions; and whether he has considered the particular case forwarded to him on 21st January.

Mr. Ede:

The general arrangement as regards members of the Czech Armed Forces is that they will be repatriated to their own country. There are, however, certain cases where there are special grounds forallowing individuals to remain for the present in this country, and the case to which my hon. Friend refers is one of these.
