§ Mr. Ness EdwardsThere has been an increase in the number of cases dealt with by reinstatement committees in recent months, but the total is still small. Up to the end of January, 1946, only 725 cases were heard by the committees. In 431 cases the decision was in favour of the applicant. While the monthly figures may be expected to increase, there is as yet no indication that any large number of cases will come before the statutory authorities for settlement.
