§ Mr. Stubbsasked the Minister of Health if he is aware of the shortage of 182W staff at the Fulbourn Mental Hospital, Cambridgeshire; and what he proposes to do about it.
§ Mr. IsaacsI am aware of this hospital's need for nursing staff. All possible assistance in obtaining staff is being given by my Department which has submitted particulars of a number of candidates during recent months. The shortage of nursing staff is part of a wider problem affecting mental and other hospitals elsewhere to which the various measures taken by the Government to encourage further recruitment into the nursing services are being directed.
