HC Deb 14 February 1946 vol 419 cc137-8W
Commander Maitland

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the proposed water schemes for the rural districts of Horncastle and Spilsby.

Mr. Bevan

Since my reply to the hon. and gallant Member's previous Question regarding these areas on the 26th November last the Horncastle Rural District Council have submitted their comprehensive scheme to me in outline and it is now being considered by my technical advisers. No interim scheme has yet been submitted for the village of Bucknall. With regard to Spilsby, I have recently authorised the Council to invite tenders for the completion of their coastal and fen area schemes, the latter of which includes the parish of Thorpe St. Peter. The Council are still negotiating with Boston Corporation over the proposed supply to Gipsy Bridge.
