§ Squadron-Leader Segalasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if his attention has been drawn to a propaganda leaflet published by the Road Haulage Association, which was enclosed in the pay packets of employees at Leyland Motors Ltd. during the Preston by-election campaign; and whether he will take steps to discourage a recurrence of such practices of organised political intimidation.
§ Mr. EdeI have seen a copy of the leaflet and I cannot find anything in it which amounts to intimidation, but I agree with my hon. and gallant Friend in deprecating the association of any form of political propaganda with pay packets.
