§ Mr. McAdamasked the hon. Member for West Walthamstow (Mr. McEntee) as Chairman of the Kitchen Committee, if he will now state what remuneration the staff of the Kitchen Committee receive in addition to their standard rates, when the sittings bf the House are extended beyond the normal hour.
§ Mr. McEnteeIt has been agreed by the sub-committee consisting of members of the staff and of the Kitchen Committee that the rates shall be: one quarter of a day's pay for each hour, or part of an hour, for all persons detained after 11.30 p.m. who have, during the particular day completed a tour of duty of eight hours. These terms are subject to confirmation by the full committee at their next meeting.
