§ Mr. Jannerasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the expense 119W and delay involved by the present procedure under which local authorities who wish to take effective action with regard to smoke abatement and the provision of district heating schemes must individually seek powers for that purpose, he will consider legislation at an early date giving general powers to appropriate local authorities in these matters.
