§ 113. Major Wiseasked the Secretary of State for Air if he is aware that an offer to purchase 150 used surplus cycles at Great Massingham R.A.F. station, Norfolk, was refused; that, subsequently, these cycles were laid out on the aerodrome runway and completely smashed by being deliberately run over by a steam roller; and why they were not handed over to the appropriate department for disposal.
§ Mr. P. Noel-BakerSome used bicycle parts at this station were classified as beyond repair, broken down for salvage and disposed of to a Ministry of Supply metal recovery depot. The inquiry about their purchase was received after they had been scrapped.
