HC Deb 02 December 1946 vol 431 cc1-2W
23. Lieut.-Colonel Corbett

asked the Minister of Food what quantities of wheat were exported to Great Britain from Canada in 1945 and during each month of 1946 for which figures are available; and what quantities he expects to receive during the remaining months.

Mr. Strachey

The Canadian Returns do not specify the amount of Canadian wheat exported to the United Kingdom. I will give our figures of imports from Canada for the periods named. I think I had better not attempt a forecast for the remaining months of 1946.
