HC Deb 02 December 1946 vol 431 cc14-5W
Mr. D. J. Williams

asked the Minister of Works what progress has been made in the negotiations to assess the extent of the war damage caused to the Cwmdu Brickworks, Skewen, Glamorganshire; and if he will give the approximate date when production may be expected to be resumed in this undertaking.

Mr. Tomlinson

I understand that the War Damage Commission are still awaiting the company's reply to their offer of 19th October to refer the matter in dispute to a Deputy Commissioner for an independent decision. I am making further inquiries with regard to the second part of the Question and I will let my hon. Friend know the result as soon as I can.
