§ Sir E. Graham-Littleasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he is aware that the book, "Insanity Fair," by Mr. Douglas Reed, was banned by Himmler in 1939 and its author put on the Nazi Black List; that requests have now been received from German readers for its translation and publication in Germany on the grounds that it contains information which they were not allowed by the National Socialist Government to know; that the book was found unsuitable for publication in Germany by the Book Selection Committee of the Control Office for Germany and Austria; whether he approved of this decision and why.
§ Mr. J. Hynd"Insanity Fair" has not been found unsuitable for publication but the limited production facilities at our disposal do not permit of the publication of more than a limited number of books. "Insanity Fair" has not, so far, been chosen for priority.
