§ Mr. StracheyThe world shortage in relation to requirements is the reason for maintaining the rationing of sugar in this country; I am not prepared to publish the figures of present stocks for the reasons I gave in the Debate on bread rationing on 3rd July; I cannot say when sugar will be taken off the ration.
