§ 80. Mr. Goochasked the Secretary of State for War if he will withdraw his request to planning authorities to classify defence works in their areas which will take a considerable time to complete; and alternatively, proceed with plans for full restoration without further delay.
§ Mr. Lawson:I understand that the lists mentioned by my hon. Friend were asked for a year or so ago before the adoption of the new procedure for dealing with defence works which I described in my answer to the hon. Member for Maidstone (Mr. Bossom) on 20th December last. I have given instructions for the necessity of these lists to be reviewed. The War Department is not responsible for physical removal of works which are not dangerous to the remover.
