HC Deb 02 April 1946 vol 421 c169W
130. Miss Bacon

asked the Minister of Labour if he is aware of the dissatisfaction amongst university students in the Forces caused by the deferment of military service of new entrants to the universities; and it he will take steps to see that those whose education has been interrupted and who have served in the Forces return to the universities before young people who have not done any military service are allowed to enter.

Mr. Isaacs:

The general question of entrance of students to Universities in October, 1946, is now being examined and the considerations mentioned by my hon. Friend are being fully borne in mind.
