HC Deb 02 April 1946 vol 421 cc150-1W
Mr. Hector Huģhes

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will take steps to preserve, as far as possible, the continuity of the studies of students obliged to serve in His Majesty's Forces by informing them when, where and how long they will be stationed in a particular place.

Mr. Lawson:

Once it has been decided by the Ministry of Labour and National Service that a man shall be called up for the Army he must serve wherever he may be required; and I regret that it would not be practicable to give any under- taking as to where he will serve or as to how long he will remain in any particular place.
