§ Mr. Isaacs:I regret that statistics on the points mentioned in the first two parts of the Question are not available. Officers of my Department recently met representatives of employers in the laundry industry and made it clear to them that as women can no longer be directed to employment, further steps to attract 174W labour were in the main for the industry itself; at the same time they undertook to continue to do everything possible to help the industry in its present difficulties
