asked the Minister of Labour if, to meet the problem of the appropriate placing in industry of the returning ex-Service men and women, since so many men and women have a strong desire to choose their own employment, he will arrange for some of the Government advertisement space in the newspapers to he devoted to advertisements of situations vacant.

Mr. Isaacs:

My Department have made comprehensive arrangements for the placing in industry of ex-Service men and women including the advertising of vacancies in the newspapers. These arrangements are under continuous review and the hon. Member's suggestion will be borne in mind
