HC Deb 02 April 1946 vol 421 cc157-8W
103. Mr. Gilzean

asked the Minister of Works, in view of the return to postwar conditions, what steps he purposes taking towards the rehabilitation and amenity of the Royal Park of Holyrood.

Mr. Tomlinson:

The proposals which are under consideration for improving the amenities of Holyrood Park include the provision of additional seats, the planting of trees and shrubs and the construction of sandpits and a paddling pool for children. I am glad to say that an initial supply of seats is now ready. I should like to thank my hon. Friend for the interest which he has shown in this matter and should welcome any assistance which he can offer towards preventing wilful damage to seats and other property in this park.
