HC Deb 02 April 1946 vol 421 c158W
104. Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Works whether the scheme for extensions to Faraday House in Queen Victoria Street is being prepared in his Department; how high are these extensions to be; and is it proposed to take this building close up to St Paul's Cathedral.

Mr. Tomlinson:

A scheme for the extension of Faraday Buildings is being prepared in the Department. The buildings will conform in respect of building line, frontage heights, total heights and general design to the recommendations of the City authorities, and the Dean and Chapter of St. Paul's, and will be to the approval of the Royal Fine Arts Commission.
