§ Mr. Dyeasked the Minister of Agriculture if his attention has been called to the drop in the number of regular skilled farm workers; and what steps he is taking to secure the payment of a wage that will not only attract men but will make it worth their while to stay on the land.
Mr. WilliamsMy hon. Friend will have seen from the revised figures which have now been published that there has been practically no change in the numbers of regular workers employed on farms. The question of wages is one for the Agricultural Wages Board, which has the sole responsibility of determining the minimum rates.
