§ Dr. Morganasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies on what date the publication of the Royal Commission on the West Indies, 1938–39, promised over ten weeks ago, will take place; when copies will be made available to Members; and how many orders from the various West Indian colonies for copies have reached his Department.
§ Mr. George HallThe report of the West India Royal Commission Report was published on 4th October. The delay in publication was due solely to the necessity for arranging simultaneous release in the West Indies and in this country, and to the time required for sending copies of the Report to the Colonies concerned. In reply to the last part of the Question the Colonial Governments concerned have ordered copies amounting to a total of 1,520.
