Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Education if she is satisfied that the conditions of the Education Act are fulfilled when her approval is given to the appointment of the committees under Section 89 of that Act, without being made aware of the names and qualifications of the individual members nominated to serve thereon.
§ Miss WilkinsonYes, Sir. While subsection (2) of Section 89 of the Act requires that the Minister shall nominate the person who is to be the chairman of any such committee, subsection (1) provides for the appointment of members of the committee by bodies representing local education authorities and teachers respectively.
