§ Mr. Edelmanasked the Minister of Education whether, in view of the housing shortage in Coventry, she will relinquish the claim of her Department to use Kirby Corner Hostel for the training of teachers, and thus make it available to the Coventry 1750W Corporation as accommodation for the homeless and inadequately housed.
§ Miss WilkinsonNo, Sir. The shortage of accommodation for the emergency training scheme is acute and I cannot afford to give up any suitable buildings. This hostel will be used principally for ex-Servicemen of whom by next Spring there will be a large number released from the Forces and ready for training.
