HC Deb 26 November 1945 vol 416 c1037W
Mr. F. Willey

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what special provision is. made for the treatment of youthful sexual offenders committed to Borstal institutions.

Mr. Ede

Few sexual offenders are committed to Borstal institutions. Those who are so committed generally respond well to ordinary Borstal training, but if the medical officer considers in any particular case that psychiatric treatment might be beneficial, arrangements are made for the youth to be seen by the consulting psychiatrist at Wormwood Scrubs Prison, and given such treatment as is considered suitable.
