HC Deb 26 November 1945 vol 416 c1046W
Major J. Morrison

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he is aware that letters and papers posted in August to men of the Fleet in the Far East were delivered in the last week in October; what is the reason for this delay in transit of mails to His Majesty's ships; and what steps he is taking to improve this matter.

Mr. Alexander

I am not aware of any general complaint of undue delay in the delivery of mails to His Majesty's Ships in the Far East. If the hon. and gallant Member knows of any specific cases, and will let me have details, I shall be glad to have them investigated.
