§ Mr. W. J. Brownasked the Minister of Health how many blankets within the control of his Ministry are being stored and unused in Rugby and Warwick; and when he proposes to release them, either for use in European countries or for the home population.
§ Mr. BevanFive thousand blankets are held on behalf of my Department at Warwick and about 1,800 at Rugby. These stocks had not previously been reported as surplus by the holding local authorities. Blankets form a part only of surplus equipment held by local authorities and the procedure for withdrawal is being urgently re-examined.
