§ Mr. Bottomleyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will 2276W consider nationalising the mineral rights throughout the Colonial Empire and setting up fully equipped mining departments in the Colonies with the purpose of bringing mining operations under closer public control.
§ Mr. George HallThe question of Government policy in regard to the development of the mineral resources of the Colonial Empire is under review, and I hope soon to be in a position to give Colonial Governments guidance on the subject.
