§ Mr. TomlinsonLabour costs of house building vary according to the type of house, the standard of fittings and finishings, the foundations and site work necessary, and the locality and size of the contract. Moreover, there is not sufficient experience of house-building under the present uncertain conditions to enable a useful and authoritative comparison to be made between 1939 and 1945.
