HC Deb 12 November 1945 vol 415 c1871W
Mr. Kenyon

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the bulls imported into this country from Ireland are required to have a record of milk production from the darn equal to that required by his Department for bulls in this country.

Mr. T. Williams

A minimum standard of milk production by the dam and sire's dam is only required when a dairy bull licence is sought. At present the bull licensing Regulations preclude the acceptance for this purpose of milk records attained outside England and Wales, and on this point, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the hon. Member for Eddisbury (Sir J. Barlow) on 29th October.
