§ Mr. LawsonAs regards the first part of the Question I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on 24th October to a Question by the hon. and gallant Member for West Edinburgh (Lieut.-Commander Hutchison). In the case of war crimes committed in Singapore, Malaya, or elsewhere in South-East Asia Command the place of trial will be determined by the British military authorities in South-East Asia in consultation with any Dominion and Allied military authorities concerned, and the trials will be held in British military courts.
