HC Deb 22 March 1945 vol 409 c1006W
Mr. Driberg

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if, in view of the resumption of Standing Committees and late night Sittings of the House, he will take steps to augment the man-power available to the printers of the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Mr. Peake

The Stationery Office, under my authority, has taken all possible steps, in conjunction with the Ministry of Labour and the Service Departments, to augment the man-power available for all vital official printing, including the OFFICIAL REPORT, but unfortunately there is a limit to the man-power available at this stage of the war. In the particularly difficult case of printing overnight for the service of this House the war-time limitations include accommodation and machinery as well as man-power.
