Mr. McNeilasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport if he will ensure that where there are no direct train services Scottish youth organisations will be allowed omnibuses to take them to and from summer camps.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftRegional Transport Commissioners have discretion to authorise the use of omnibuses to convey youth organisations to and from camp, provided that vehicles and crews can be made available without interference with essential services, the length of the journey is reasonable and other means of transport are not adequate.
