HC Deb 12 June 1945 vol 411 c1504W
Major Lloyd

asked the Minister of Labour whether the Government is considering the dereservation of men up to the age of 30, in order that these may take their share of service in the Armed Forces of the Crown.

Mr. Butler

Yes, Sir. In pursuance of the policy announced in paragraph 13 of the White Paper, Cmd. 6548, and in the statement by my predecessor in the course of the Debate on 16th May, considerable numbers of men born in or after 1915 and who have hitherto been retained in civil life, will now be called upon for service in the Forces.
