Mr. Mannigham-BullerAbout 90,000 houses were affected, of which 5,000 were destroyed. About 2,000 other properties have been so badly damaged as to have been put out of use. With regard to the use of German prisoners and building materials, I would refer my hon. Friend to the replies given by my right hon. Friend to the hon. Member for Hornsey (Captain Gammans) on 9th May and to the hon. Member for South-West Norfolk (Mr. De Chair) on 25th April, of which I am sending him copies.
