§ Mr. Henderson Stewartasked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware that, though glass is at present being made available for horticultural purposes, the supply to manufacturers of cloches has been stopped; and, as cloche production is becoming of increasing importance in horticulture, will he take steps to make adequate quantities of glass available for this purpose.
Mr. HudsonYes, Sir, but I must warn my hon. Friend that just as the greater part of the total glass production of the country is needed for bomb-damaged dwelling houses, the limited supply available for horticultural purposes is required for the repair of commercial glass-houses.
