HC Deb 21 February 1945 vol 408 c815W
Mr. Astor

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider the possibility of offering to the French Government an immediate loan of military lorries from the reserves held in England on the understanding that they should be returned to the Army in the measure that reconditioned lorries become available.

Mr. A. Henderson

The possibility of making available a proportion of the reserves of military lorries held in this country for operational purposes has been carefully and sympathetically considered, but I regret that they cannot be spared.
