§ Mr. WoodburnPrecise details are not available of the average or maximum hourly rates of wages paid to the many types of workpeople whose labour con tributes to the building of aluminium houses, but it is a condition in all con tracts placed by the Ministry of Supply and Aircraft Production that the fair wages resolution of this House shall be observed by the contractor. The appropriate rates of wages are, of course, a matter for settlement by the employers and trade unions concerned by means of the normal machinery of negotiation.
