HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 cc349-50W
Sir G. Fox

asked the Minister of Health when the dumping of refuse at the edge of the Fairmile at Henley-on-Thames will cease; when the fires will burn themselves out; whether the ground on which the dump is deposited belongs to the council or whether it is rented; who is responsible for levelling this refuse heap; and what steps he proposes to take to restore the amenities of the Fairmile and remove the refuse heap.

Mr. Key

I understand that the Corporation rented this tip, but ceased using it about two months ago. They will tidy up the site and cover the refuse as soon as practicable.
