Mr. Amoryasked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether, in view of the prolongation of petrol rationing for civilian uses, he will take further action with the Service Ministers concerned to ensure that the extravagant present use of petrol by Service vehicles is curtailed.
§ Mr. ShinwellThere is close contact between my Ministry and the Service Departments in regard to the supplies of petrol needed for military purposes. The position in respect of Service and civilian requirements is under examination.
