HC Deb 11 December 1945 vol 417 c371W
Mr. Osborne

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India if he is aware that letters sent to Servicemen in India are not being delivered; and if he will look into, in particular, the case of C. Wood, 5381994, particulars of which have been sent to him.

Mr. A, Henderson

I am not aware of any general irregularity in the delivery of letters sent to Servicemen in India and in fact I am advised that there have been very few complaints in recent months of the non-delivery of mails in India. As regards the particular case mentioned in the second part of the hon. Member's Question, I understand that there is some doubt about the present location of Cndr. C. Wood, but I am making inquiries and will communicate with the hon. Member in due course.
