asked the Secretary of State for War the number of civilians employed at the C.O.D., Didcot, now and six months ago, respectively.

On 1st December, 1945, 2,566 civilians were employed by the War Department in the C.O.D. and R.E.M.E. workshops at Didcot. On 30th June last, the nearest convenient date for which figures are available, the number was 2,733.
