Mr. De la Bèreasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the position as regards reimbursement of the planters of Malaya who lost all their personal effects as a result of the invasion of Malaya by the Japanese; and whether he will under take that compensation is given to these men who did much to combat the enemy.

Smith) on 31st October and 14th Nov-2480W ember regarding the assistance which is being given by His Majesty's Government in the case of persons who have suffered losses in the Far Eastern Colonial territories.
