§ Mr. Prittasked the Secretary of State for War approximately how much money was spent on the new building erected at Ince's Farm, Gibraltar, in 1944 and 1945; 2282W by how much the limit on expenditure of £2,500 on any one job was exceeded; how many rooms the building contains; why it was built and by whom it is now used; and how he justifies erecting it when labour was not available to relieve the overcrowding of the civilian population.
§ Mr. LawsonAs far as I am aware Ince's Farm is a pre-war building, which was occupied as a married quarter for a serving soldier, prior to the war. It is now occupied by the Governor as a summer residence in place of his own summer residence, which is in use as a rest home and hospital for epidemic diseases. I am, however, looking into the matter.
