Mr. Baldwinasked the Minister of Labour what arrangements he is making to provide the agricultural industry with labour to replace the 63,000 Italian prisoners of war who are being repatriated in a short time.
§ Mr. IsaacsItalian prisoners from a small part of the labour force of the agriculture industry and their replacement cannot be considered as an issue entirely separate from the supply of labour to agriculture generally including the return of men from the Services and the use of German prisoners. The question of the distribution of German prisoners in employment, including employment for agriculture, is at present under consideration.
