§ Colonel Carverasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the coming harvest he can now make any statement as to the position reached regarding the utility of rooks or the reverse on farms.
Mr. HudsonThe investigation of the extent of the harm or benefit done by rooks necessarily takes some time, and it would be very unwise to base a decision on an incomplete survey. Meantime, I see no reason to change the present policy of encouraging a reduction of the rook population in cases where this has become excessive.
