§ Sir R. Glynasked the Minister of Health whether, under the Rural Water Supply Act, he will consider the establishment of a regional water committee for the whole district of North Berkshire that falls within the Thames Catchment Area, in view of the fact that many local authorities are busy now preparing schemes which only affect the immediate area of their council and that these plans do not take into account the circumstances that led to the passing of the Rural Water Supply Bill.
§ Miss HorsbrughMy right hon. Friend is informed by the Berkshire County Council that they intend shortly to convene a conference of local authorities for the purpose of considering co-ordination of action under the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act, 1944.
