HC Deb 04 October 1944 vol 403 c953W
Captain Cox

asked the Minister of Health how many new houses have been built in the Stalybridge, Hyde and Dukinfield area for the period 1939–44; and how many it is estimated will be built in the first, second and third year after the end of hostilities in Europe.

Mr. Willink

The numbers of new houses completed in the period from the outbreak of war to 31st March, 1944, in the Stalybridge, Hyde and Dukinfield areas were 11, 74 and 80 respectively. I cannot at present give an estimate of the number of houses which will be built in these areas in the first three post-war years.
