Mr. HudsonAs my hon. Friend is aware, legislation has already been passed about the future of the herring industry. Plans about the future of the rest of the fishing industry, including that of the inshore fishermen, are already under active consideration. The main facts of the position are well known, and I do not think that there would be any advantage in appointing a committee at this stage to make recommendations on the subject.
